Gaming Green Government

In Maryland you have a man facing prison time for engaging in green energy credit fraud, by allegely taking illegal advantage of an Environmental Protection Agency program that some in Congress suspect is rife with such cons, yet the frauds who designed, approved and administer this fraud-friendly federal program face no penalty at all for their role in ripping-off taxpayers. The small-time con artists like this guy get prosecuted, while Washington’s big-time con artists and cronies — the people who’ve wasted billions on Solyndra and other green energy boondoggles – go about their business as free men and women, completely without fear of professional or political punishment.

When government begins operating like a racket, which shakes-down some Americans in order to reward and profit other Americans, using government as the middle man and the muscle — when Washington routinely gets away with doing things that would send an average person to prison – even otherwise honest people start taking unfair advantage of the system.  And EPA’s renewable energy credits scam is only one example of dozens that exist in the federal government.

Then some wonder why Americans have become so angry and cynical.
